Brewing methods

With so many ways to brew Coffee, it can be overwhelming to decide which one you enjoy best and which one fits your day to day schedule and budget.

I’ve tried to compile a list of brew methods and some general information about each.  Each

 

Drip – Standard coffee pot brewing

Grind: Medium/fine.                            Coffee ratio: 8-10g/cup (5oz/cup)

 

French Press – Immersion brewing

grind: Course.

Coffee Ratio: 7:1

Let Coffee steep for ~4minutes before plunging
Let sit for an additional 1-2 minutes for loose coffee grounds to settle before pouring

 

 

Pour over –

grind: Medium.

Coffee Ratio: ~20g coffee/300g water

-chemex (6,8,10 cups)

-V60- grind: Medium. Coffee Ratio: ~18g coffee/300g water

Aeropress:

grind: Extra Fine.

Coffee Ratio: ~20g coffee/215g water

 

Espresso:

grind: Extra Fine.

Coffee Ratio: 1:2, 18g coffee/36g brewed espresso

 

Moka Pot

Siphon: -Untested-
